Chicken Road takes your privacy seriously, and we want to be upfront about how your personal data is handled. This policy lays out what we collect when you use the platform, what we do with it, and what control you have.
What Data We Collect
When you play Chicken Road through one of our licensed partner casinos, we may end up collecting several types of information:
- Personal details like your name, date of birth, email, phone number, and home address – all provided during registration
- Verification documents including copies of your ID, proof of address, and payment method as part of the KYC process
- Financial data covering your deposit and withdrawal history, the payment methods you’ve used, and transaction amounts in AUD or other currencies
- Device information such as your device model, operating system, screen resolution, and browser version
- Usage data – which pages you visit, your game sessions, what difficulty levels you pick, how you cash out, and how long you play
- Location data, meaning your country and region based on your IP address
How We Use Your Data
Your data gets processed for a handful of reasons: setting up and managing your account, verifying your identity under KYC and AML rules, handling deposits and withdrawals, sending you account notifications and security alerts, catching fraud or unauthorised access before it becomes a problem, making the platform better over time, answering your support requests, and meeting the legal obligations that come with our gaming licences.
Data Sharing
We don’t sell your data. Full stop. There are only a few situations where your information gets shared with anyone else: payment processors need it to handle your transactions, verification providers need it to run identity and document checks, regulators or law enforcement may require it under Australian or international law, and our technical service providers use it to help keep the platform running smoothly.
Every third party we work with is bound by confidentiality agreements and has to handle your data in line with applicable protection standards, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
Data Storage and Retention
All personal data sits on secure servers with encryption and access controls in place. We hold onto your information for as long as your account stays active, plus a minimum of 5 years after you close it that’s a requirement under licensing and AML regulations. Once that retention window closes, your data gets permanently wiped.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of whatever personal data we hold on you, request corrections if anything is wrong or outdated, ask for your data to be deleted (keeping in mind certain legal retention obligations still apply), opt out of marketing communications whenever you feel like it, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you think we’ve dropped the ball.
Children’s Privacy
Chicken Road is strictly for players aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If it comes to our attention that someone underage has managed to create an account, we suspend it on the spot and delete all the data tied to it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy down the line whether because of new regulations, platform changes, or shifts in how we operate. Any revisions will be posted right here with the date of the latest update. It’s worth checking back every now and then.
